This strawberry banana smoothie recipe combines frozen strawberries, perfectly ripe banana, and unsweetened soy milk for a creamy base that’s bursting with antioxidants and vitamin C to support your immune system and overall health.

A splash of fresh lemon juice adds the perfect amount of brightness and zing, while a hint of water-extracted vanilla powder brings subtle warmth and complexity. I love the gentle flavor of this vanilla powder, but you can also use a teaspoon of vanilla extract if you prefer.

To enhance the natural sweetness, I added 5 drops of Sweet Monk, a liquid monk fruit sweetener that is zero calorie and ideal for smoothies. It gives just a touch of extra sweetness without overpowering the fresh strawberry and banana flavors and is one of the best tasting non nutritive sweeteners for supporting healthy blood sugar levels.

Soy milk blends beautifully with banana to create a rich, smooth texture that feels indulgent without any added cream or nut butters. Combined with the tartness of lemon and the natural sweetness of strawberries, this smoothie is a perfect balance of creamy, tangy, and naturally sweet.

This healthy strawberry banana smoothie is packed with fiber, antioxidants, and 9 grams of plant-based protein, making it a nourishing choice to support digestion, hydration, and overall wellness. Plus, it’s 100% vegan and dairy-free, so it fits perfectly into plant-based lifestyles.

Try this strawberry and banana smoothie as a light summer breakfast, post-hike snack, or refreshing treat on hot afternoons. If your looking for a delicious and healthy strawberry banana smoothie recipe, this one checks all the boxes!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

  • 1½ cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 medium banana
  • ¾ cup unsweetened soy milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon water-extracted vanilla powder (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
  • 5 drops Sweet Monk liquid monk fruit sweetener (or to taste)

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately.

Tips & Substitutions

Soy milk is used here for its creamy texture and protein content, but almond, oat, or cashew milk are excellent substitutes that still create a smooth and creamy smoothie.

I prefer using perfectly ripe bananas because I find overripe bananas can sometimes overpower the flavor with too much sweetness and a stronger banana taste. That said, the riper the banana, the sweeter your smoothie will be,so feel free to adjust based on your flavor preference!

The 5 drops of Sweet Monk liquid monk fruit sweetener in this recipe is roughly equivalent to 1 teaspoon of sugar. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, feel free to add more Sweet Monk to taste. Keep in mind that the natural sweetness of your strawberries will also affect the overall sweetness of your smoothie.

I used a water extracted vanilla powder for a super smooth vanilla flavor, but you can also use vanilla extract as well.
